Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Technique (IASTT)
IASTT uses specialized instruments to detect and treat soft tissue restrictions, scar tissue, and fascial adhesions. This advanced manual therapy technique accelerates healing, improves mobility, and reduces pain from chronic soft tissue injuries.
Benefits of IASTT
Conditions Treated
- •Chronic tendonitis
- •Plantar fasciitis
- •Tennis and golfer's elbow
- •Carpal tunnel syndrome
- •IT band syndrome
- •Rotator cuff injuries
- •Post-surgical scar tissue
- •Chronic muscle strains
What to Expect
The Treatment Process
During IASTT treatment, specialized stainless steel instruments are used to scan over and detect areas of tissue restriction. Once problem areas are identified, the instruments are used with controlled pressure to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.
What You Will Feel
You may feel some discomfort during treatment, similar to deep tissue massage, but it should not be unbearable. Some bruising or temporary soreness may occur after treatment as your body begins the healing process.
Recovery and Results
Sessions typically last 10-15 minutes per treatment area. Most patients require 4-8 sessions for optimal results. Between treatments, you will notice improved mobility, reduced pain, and better tissue function as adhesions are released and normal tissue structure is restored.
